LORENZO S HANSON was born circa Jan, 1840 in North Berwick, Maine, the son of Stephen and
Mindwell (Boston) Hanson. He died in Manchester, NH on 11 Sept, 1889 of heart failure, aged
49yrs,8mos,1day [NH VR] and was buried there in the city [NH Civil War Death and Burial Locations].
He was married first, on 23 Jan, 1861 in North Berwick, to CLARA M PIERCE of Williamsburg, MA
[VR of Berwicks, pg 598]. Her death date is not yet known.
He secondly married, on 17 Sept, 1876 in Oconto County, WI [WI Marriage Index - only male's name

Pittsfield, MA (two of her sons also moved here).
His occupation a farmer and a hostler (horse caretaker), he lived in North Berwick during his early

born here), and finally settled in Manchester, NH only 4 years prior to his death. In the year of his
death, he was living in a house on Chestnut St, on corner of Appleton [1889 Manch Dir].
He had the following children:
I. HERBERT W, born circa 1875 in Rhode Island [age 5 in 1880 census], not found in 1900 or later
censuses. As born a year prior to father's second marriage in WI, he must be a child of Clara.

1880+1920 say b.MA], still alive in 1930 Hillsborough, NH census. He was married on 30 Sept, 1899
