HENRY G HARVEY, perhaps the son of Stephen and Mary Harvey of South
Berwick, ME, was born circa 1832 [based on age at death and census ages], in
South Berwick [Descriptive Rolls]. Parents may have been the Stephen and
Mary (Andrews) who filed intents to marry on 18 Nov, 1830 [VR of Berwicks,
pg.342]. He died on 19 June, 1888 aged 56yrs [gravestone, Portland St Cem,
S.Ber.]
Henry married first on or after 11 Mar, 1858 when certificate was given in
South Berwick [VR of Berwicks, p.383] to ARMINE EARL, the daughter of
Edmund and Polly Earl. She was born 4 Nov, 1836, likely in South Berwick [VR
of Berwicks, pg.508], and died 20 June, 1871 at age 34yrs,7mos [gravestone
+ YCCI, pg. 2050].
He secondly was married to MARTHA A.F.HAYES, also of South Berwick, on
or after 19 July, 1874 [cert. issued -VR of Berwicks, pg 400, her middle initial
'P' on this rec]. She was born ca April, 1833 [1900 census] and died in 1915,
buried in Portland St Cemetery, S.Berwick with David and Martha Hayes.

#653,654 cert #630,265]
Henry was a house carpenter by trade, as indicated by census records, and
lived in South Berwick his entire life.
By wife Armine, he had one known child:
I. HERMAN E, born 1858 and died in 1936 [YCCI, pg 2011] - death record not
yet viewed. He married 1st to CORA E HAMMOND of North Berwick on 16
Aug, 1883 [VR of Berwicks, pg 476]. She was born in 1861 and died in 1956
[YCCI, pg 1808] They were divorced and he later married ELIZABETH N
[maiden name not yet researched], who was born in 1873 and died in 1940
[YCCI, pg 2011].
1. Ralph H., 1903-1923 [YCCI, pg 2011], buried with Herman and Elizabeth,
likely a child of their's, though hasn't been researched at this time.
