From the Portsmouth Chronicle, dated Tues. 1 Sept, 1891:
The annual reunion of the 27th Maine regiment took place in Biddeford, Thursday, the 27th ult. There were present from this vicinity, members of:

The report of the treasurer showed $67.49 left after all bills paid. A history of the regiment is being written, for which a collection of $16.72 was taken to defray expenses. They hold their next reunion at Kittery.

A large number of veterans will attend the reunion of the 27th ME regiment in Biddeford. It is expected to be the largest gathering ever held.
Dr Mark F Wentworth, his wife and Calvin L Hayes Esq start for Cornish this morning to attend the annual reunion of the 32nd Maine, which will be held there to-day (the 26th). They will also attend the reunion of the 27th held at Biddeford on the 27th, on their return from Cornish.
