From the Springvale Advocate, dated 11 August 1905 (pg 3):
The annual reunion of the 27th Maine will be held at Farmers Hall in Kennebunkport on Saturday, 26 August. All comrades cordially invited with friends. Dinner served free.
Springvale Advocate, dated 1 Sept. 1905 (pg 3):
Members of the 27th Maine regiment held annual reunion Saturday at Kennebunkport. The old veterans were easily singled out by the souvenir badges they were (red,white, and blue ribbons, appropriately inscribed). There were many members of other regiments on hand. Probably the biggest reunion the 27th has had for many years.
