From the Springvale Advocate, dated Friday, 3 Sept, 1909 (pg 2):

The annual reunion of the 27th Maine was held Friday August 27th at Kennebunkport and was attended by some 400 members and invited guests. The exercises were in the hall of the Farmers Club and decorated by comrade S.E.Coleman of Kennebunk and by ladies of the 1st Parish Society of Kennebunkport.
Business meeting called by President W.S.Hasty of Portland who introduced Rev Edward Chase, K-Port, chaplain of the organization who opened meeting with a prayer.
Report of secretary showed a death list of about 2_ (couldn't read 2nd number) members during past year, including the following officers:
Capt Almon O Smart, Co H, Parsonsfield
Lieut William Milliken, Co C, Trinidad
Col Lieut Moses S Hurd, Co B, N.Berwick
Capt Isaac P Fall, Co B, S.Berwick

The officers elected were:
Pres: Capt J.F.Warren, Buxton
1st VP: D.M.Shapleigh, Kittery
2nd VP: W.W.Keays, Melrose, MA
Sec: W.S.Hasty, Portland
Treas: J.T.Mason, Biddeford
Chaplain: Rev Edwrd Chase, Kennebunkport
Exec Commit: S.W.Fairfield of Dorchester,MA; N.N.Hurd of Berwick and G.S.Smith of Alfred

Of the enlisted men, that so far as known, about 375 living.
