From the Springvale Advocate, dated Friday 28 Aug, 1914 (pg 5):
J.W.Witham of Acton was in town Thursday en route to Kennebunkport Town House to attend the annual reunion of the 27th Maine Regiment.
Mr+Mrs Samuel H Garvin attended the annual reunion of the 27th Maine at Kennebunkport, Thursday the 27th. Mr Garvin was a member of Company H.

Mr+Mrs William Smith and Miss Luella Smith of Williams Ave, Lieut Edwin A Duncan of Williams Ave, and Dennis Shapleigh of North Kittery were among those of this vicinity who attended the 32nd annual reunion of the 27th Maine at Farmers Club Hall in Kennebunkport on Thursday.
