He married before the 1870 census to ELIZA A FOGG, born circa 1837-8 [based on ages in 1870-80 censuses]. Still need to research her further.

Willard spent his life employed as a farmer in Buxton, ME.

Three children were born to Willard and Eliza, according to Buxton VR and census records:

I. FREEMAN M BANGS was born on 16 April 1864 [Buxton VR, bk 3 pg 321; ME vr] in Harrison, ME [according to marr rec and birth rec's of 2 children] and died on 29 Feb. 1924 in Buxton at age 59 yrs,10 mos,13 das [rec says he was resident 59 yrs, prev. in Harrison, ME]. He married in Portsmouth, NH on 20 Dec 1893 [NH VR] to HELEN R THOMPSON, the daughter of Amos and Frances Thompson. She was born 1869 [Sept, 1868 on 1900 census] and died in 1946 [YCCI pg 391]. Both are buried in Highland Cemetery, Buxton. He was a woodworker, building cabinets and such, living in Buxton and Portland. The 1900 and 1910 censuses show them having 2 children, both deceased.

   2. (m) stillborn on 9 Apr 1900 in Portland [ME VR]

III. GEORGE ELLSWORTH BANGS was born 13 Oct 1874 [WWI Draft Card], likely in Buxton. He married, on 10 Apr 1893 in Buxton, ME, to MARGARET (MAGGIE) C PARSONS. She was the daughter of Albion K P and Rosa Anna (Davis) Parsons. George held several occupations, working as a millman, a farmer, and an interior painter in Buxton. They had at least the following children:

For a time (between marriages) lived in Denver, CO and worked as a quartz miner. He served in WWI as a private, overseas Aug, 1918 to July 1919. Guy died 13 Nov 1974 at age 81 in Portland [ME Death Index].
