The survivors of the 27th Maine Regiment have a reunion at North Berwick to-day.

157 veterans of the 27th Maine volunteers attended the reunion of the survivors at North Berwick on Friday, 27 August, included 14 from Kittery, one of whom was Capt "Rashe" Trefethen of the steamer Mystic. The next reunion will be held at Buxton Centre on Saturday, 27 August, 1887.

The 27th Maine regiment will hold annual reunion on 12 Sept. at the Kittery Foreside. Hayes Hall has been engaged for the occasion. Dr M.F.Wentworth of Kittery was Colonel and Mr D.M.Shapleigh was a Lieut.

The veterans of Company G, 27th Maine, held annual reunion in Kittery on the 12th.

Portsmouth Daily Chronicle, Monday 21 Aug, 1889:
The reunion of the veterans of the 27th Maine Volunteers will be held at Trefethen Hall, Kittery Foreside, on Tuesday August 27th. All members of Co G are requested to be present with out further notice. This is expected to be the most largely attended reunion ever held. The steamers Mystic and Undine will make down river excursions during the day for accommodations of the vets.
