The 27th Maine Regimental Association
1905 and 1906 Reunions

Saturday, 26 August 1905, at Kennebunkport

From the Springvale Advocate, dated 11 August 1905 (pg 3):
The annual reunion of the 27th Maine will be held at Farmers Hall in Kennebunkport on Saturday, 26 August. All comrades cordially invited with friends. Dinner served free.

Springvale Advocate, dated 1 Sept. 1905 (pg 3):
Members of the 27th Maine regiment held annual reunion Saturday at Kennebunkport. The old veterans were easily singled out by the souvenir badges they wore (red, white, and blue ribbons, appropriately inscribed). There were many members of other regiments on hand. Probably the biggest reunion the 27th has had for many years.

From the Portsmouth Herald, dated Tuesday 28 Aug (pg 8):
Charles J Lydston attended the reunion of the 27th Maine at Kennebunk yesterday.

Portsmouth Herald, dated Wed. 29 Aug. (pg 5):
Mr George W Damon has returned from the reunion of the 27th Maine held at Kennebunkport on the (28th-error) and from reunion of the 32nd ME held at Portland yesterday. With one exception, Mr Damon is now the only living member of both associations, the other being Mr Hiram Tobey of Kittery Point
Mrs Flora Hayes Spinney sang at the 27th ME reunion at Kennebunkport on the 27th inst.
