RICHARD DEARBORN

RICHARD GOODWIN DEARBORN, the son of Capt Richard and Mary Ann Norris (Cole) Dearborn, was born in Limerick, Maine on 5 Feb 1842 [Norris Gen; 1900 census]. He died at the Togus Soldiers Hospital on 6 Oct 1917, from a cerebral hemorrhage. His body was sent to Limerick, for burial beside his parents in the Hillside-Baptist Cemetery. His stone may be the "unmarked" one in the Dearborn plot, in front of the one of his wife Sarah. It may be inscribed with a "R.G.".

Richard was married first, in Boston, MA on 14 Sept 1873 [MA VR], to ADELAIDE A PENNEY. She was born in Boston, the daughter of Samuel and Nancy Penney. They divorced in Sept 1876 [York Co SJC, 33/392].

He secondly was married, in Portland, Maine on 5 Feb 1889, to SARAH JENNIE BARTON. Born in Naples, Maine on 16 Jun 1849, the dau of William H and Sally (Shedd) Barton [Norris Gen]. She died in 1890 [gravestone], and was buried in the Hillside-Baptist Cemetery in the Dearborn plot.

Richard was thirdly married to CHARLOTTE DAVIS, in Hebron, Maine on 14 June 1898. She was born in Jersey Shore, PA [ME Marr Rec] circa Aug 1869 [1900 census]. In 1932, she was living in Brookline, MA with her daughter Beatrice, and was in Allston by 1935. She had another daughter, the Mrs Hazel P Noyes of Allston, MA, mentioned in a 1935 newspaper article. Neither were the children of Richard Dearborn.
