JOHN C EMMONS was born circa Nov 1841 [1900 census] or 30 Nov 1840 [calc from age at death] in Lyman, Maine, the son of Joseph and Joanna (Card) Emmons. He died on 22 Dec 1913 in Lynn, MA, aged 73 yrs, 22 das [MA VR], and was buried in Saco, Maine on 24 Dec [death rec].
He married on 26 Sept 1871 in Saco, Maine [Saco VR] to GEORGIA E PARCHER, the daughter of George and Emma (Chase) Parcher. She was born ca Dec 1847 [1900 census], perhaps in Saco, and died 5 Apr 1941 [grave].
Following John's move to Lynn, MA about 1866-67, he began work there as a last maker/turner at a "last factory". He and his brother James, who carried the same occupation, both lived for a time with their sister Mary C Goodwin [1870-80 censuses]. John and his family afterward lived on 12 Sachem Ave [1900-20 censuses].
John and Georgie had only one child, a daughter:
I. ISABELLE P EMMONS, born 1 Apr 1884 in Lynn, MA [MA VR v.349 p.292]. She married JAMES E MAYVILLE prior to the 1920 census. He was born in 1884 and died in 1952, and is buried in Chadbourne Cemetery in Lyman, Maine in plot with wife's grandparents [YCCI, p1218]. In 1920, they had two children:
1. Virginia Mayville [age 6 in 1920]
2. Geraldine Mayville [age 4 5/12 in 1920]
