AARON RICKER LIBBY was the son of Nathaniel and Anna (Ricker) Libby, born in Limerick, ME on 5 Feb 1818 [Libby Family, p423]. He died on 21 May 1876 in Kennebunkport, ME [Libby, p423-4]. Perhaps buried in the Burnham-Libby Cemetery in Arundel (formerly Kennebunkport), near the old Burnham School.
He married in Boston, MA, on 22 Sept 1845 [MA VR], to ROSINA JAQUITH (or JAQUETH), the daughter of David and Sally (Sawyer) Jaqueth of Jaffrey, NH [Libby, p423]. She was born in Jaffrey, NH [son Edmund's marr rec], and died on 13 Sept 1880 [Libby, p423].
According to The Libby Family in America 1602-1881 (pp 423-4), Aaron was born in Limerick, ME, the family moving to Lyman, ME in 1826. "In Lyman (Aaron) was deacon of the Baptist Church and lieutenant in the militia. In 1852 he removed to Kennebunkport and there bought a farm on which he lived until his death".

I. LEWIS NATHANIEL LIBBY was born 23 Jan 1846. He died 24 Nov 1870, in Kennebunkport, of consumption. He was married on 8 May 1870 to AURIANNA (AURANIA) SARGENT, the daughter of the Rev William A Sargent of Vineland, NJ. He spent his (short) life between Jaffrey, NH and Vineland, NJ. After his death, his widow returned to NJ. One child was born to Lewis, though born after he passed away. Lewis is buried in the Burnham Cemetery in Arundel.

II. CHARLES CHESTER LIBBY, born 10 Apr 1849 in Lyman, Maine. He died in Jaffrey, NH on 26 Sept 1907 [NH VR] from tuberculosis, and was buried there in Cutter Cemetery. Living in Kennebunkport as a farmer in 1880, he afterwards moved to Jaffrey, NH and took up farming there. He married about 1881 [19 yrs in 1900 census] to CLARA ROYCE. She was born about Oct 1856 [1900 census] in Rindge, NH, the daughter of Henry M and Sarah (Kent) Royce [NH death rec]. She died in Westmoreland (at Cheshire County Farm) on 5 Sept 1930 [NH VR] and is buried in Cutter Cemetery. They had no children.
III. EDMUND DORMAN LIBBY, born 1 Nov 1851 in Lyman, Maine [Marr rec]. Graduated Dartmouth College in 1879, studying civil engineering in Hanover, NH. 1880 Hanover, Grafton, NH census shows him in h.h. of Emily Jewett, he was a student in college.Rec says he is her 'step-son', but must be an error by enumerator. He married, on 29 June 1887 in Concord, NH, to EMMA O CURTICE, the daughter of William S and Louisa (Bean) Curtice. She was born in Concord, NH.
IV. WILLIS "WILLIE" HOWARD LIBBY was born on 15 Jan 1855 in Kennebunkport, Maine [NH death rec]. He died in Jaffrey, NH on 15 Sept 1897, aged 42 yrs, 8 mos [NH VR], and was buried there in the Cutter Cemetery. Living with mother and brother Charles in 1880 Kennebunkport, a farm laborer, unmarried.
V. LIZZIE ANNA LIBBY [Lizzy Anna on birth rec] was born 7 Aug 1857 in Kennebunkport [VR]. She died on 20 Mar 1877 aged 19 yrs, 7 mos and is buried in Greenwood Cem, Biddeford, ME [YCCI,p319] in her husband's parents plot. She married in Oct 1876 [intents filed 28 Sept,cert issues 2 Oct, no marr date seen in VR] to DANIEL H. CLEAVES, the son of Daniel and Narcissa (Lunt) Cleaves. Lizzie had one child born to her, the complications from this likely the cause of her death on the following day [her death not mentioned in Libby book]
1. Daniel Lunt Cleaves, b. 19 Mar 1877. He removed to Missouri by 1910, seen in census there with wife Flora E.H. and daughter Isabel. In St.Louis during WWI [draft card-1918], he afterwards moved with family to Newark, NJ, where he worked as a chemist [1920].
