WILLIAM FABRA* MORGAN was born in Boston, Suffolk, MA on 5 Sep 1839, the son of Asa and Susan (Clark) Morgan. He died in Quincy, MA on 28 Oct 1918 from acute nephritis, aged 70 yrs [MA vr]. He was buried in Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.

He was married to MARY JANE TAYLOR. "Jennie" was born ca Nov 1839 [1900 census], and died 5 May 1925 [Pension Payment Card]. She is buried in Bellevue Cem.

​Born while his parents had briefly lived to Boston in the 1830's, they returned to Wolfeboro soon after, and were in Effingham, NH prior to 1860. William was the eldest son of Asa [per his will, Carroll County Probate, #3621] and received land in Effingham from his father, but instead moved to nearby Newfield, Maine. He left there

by 1868, when he removed to Lawrence, MA, to work in the shoe factories there. He later became a teamster/driver for the Beach Soap Co. in Lawrence. By 1910, he and his wife moved to Melrose, to live with son Fred, and then on to Quincy, MA, five years prior to his death.

​William and Jennie had two children:
i. FRED HUGH MORGAN, born in South Effingham, NH on 12 Dec 1860 [NH vr; MA Mason Member Card]; died 3 Sep 1936 in Morrill, Maine. He is buried in Morrill Village Cem, Morrill, Maine (his name is on family stone in Lawrence). Married MINA AUGUSTA WILCOX, 8 Jan 1880 in Lawrence [MA Marr Rec]. She was b. 26 Mar 1859 in Lubec, Maine [VR of Lubec, pg 67], the dau of George and Diadamy (Roberts) Wilcox. She died 4 Jun 1901, aged 41 yrs, 2 mos, 8 das. He secondly married, on 23 Dec 1905 in Brockton, MA to NELLIE D THOMPSON. The dau of Thomas B and Deborah T (Wyman) Thompson, she was b. in Montville, MA on 5 Sep 1869. She d. 30 Jan 1943 in Florida. A graduate of the Boston University of Theology, he was a minister and missionary. Six children, all but last with 1st wife "Gusta".
   1. Norma Pearl Morgan, b. 3 Aug 1880 in Lawrence [MA vr], d. 2 Sep 1909 in Lawrence, MA, from pneumonia. Marr. Wilfred Lord, 8 Oct 1905 in Lawrence [MA vr]. They had 2 children, Phyllis Wilcox Lord and Paul Wilfred Lord, both dying in infancy.

   3. Blaine Wilcox Morgan, 13 Jul 1884 in Lawrence [MA vr], d. 25 Jul 1937 [MA Mason Member Card] in Bingham, ME. Marr to Rena Amanda Turner, 15 Jun 1910, in Worcester [MA Marr Rec]. A dentist, Harvard Grad.
   4. Clyde Brooke Morgan, 16 Aug 1889 in Seabrook, NH [NH vr]
   5. Maisie Gladys Morgan, 27 Aug 1893 in Skowhegan, ME [ME vr], d. 17 Nov 1988
   6. Elizabeth Dee Morgan, b. 16 Nov 1906 in Melrose, MA; d. 6 Feb 1999 

ii. HERBERT E. C. MORGAN, b. 3 Feb 1871 in Lawrence, MA. Married 16 Dec 1896 in Lawrence to EDITH L KANE. The dau. of George and Abbie Kane, b. in Cleveland, OH ca Mar 1874 [1900 census]

* The MA Mason Membership Card is the only source for William's middle name of "Fabra". A very rare name, I wonder if it is a misspelling of another. Furber was a very common surname in Wolfeboro, NH area.
