The Biddeford Daily Journal, on Thurs., 19 Nov 1885 (pg 2) reported:
Mr. Ivory Morrison, of Chelsea, Mass., died in that city recently and was brought to this place, his former home, and buried in the village cemetery. Grave photo taken 12 May 2009 - very hard to read due to tree covering and bad lighting. Need to retake some day. Note the "N" is backwards in Morrison. |
From the 1856 map of York County, Maine (Library of Congress website): East Parsonsfield The home of "I. P. Morrison" (Ivory Perry), with "B.S." (blacksmith) shop beside it. The road across from them leads to the East Parsonsfield Cemetery, where the Morrison family is buried. House MAY still be standing, as there are several old structures on south side of N Rd (Rt 160) on 2009 Google Street View. |
