JOHN NASON was born in 1819 [grave] in Acton, Maine [Descriptive Rolls; NH death rec], the son of Richard and Mary Nason. He died in Somersworth, NH on 27 Sept 1887 [NH vr], and was buried in Lord's Cemetery in Berwick, Maine.

He married in Somersworth, NH, on 13 Mar 1842 [NH vr], to CLARISSA "CLARA" GALE. She was born about Dec 1819 (based on age at death) in Warren, NH [dau Mary's death rec], and died on 21 Dec 1854, aged 35 yrs, 20 das [grave]. She is buried in Lord's Cemetery, Berwick.

He married secondly (listed as John "Nayson"), on 25 July 1855 in Somersworth, NH [NH Marr rec], to OLIVE H FROST.(surname listed as CROSS on dau Clara's death rec). She was born in Lebanon, ME [dau Clara's death rec], her death date not yet known. She is not with John in the 1860 or 1870 census, so she may have died soon after their marriage (or they divorced - still researching this).

John was living in Somersworth, NH during the 1850 census, working in manufacturing. He returned to Acton by 1860, and had enlisted from there in '62, filling a spot for the quota in the town of Eliot. He afterwards returned to Somersworth, where he is seen working in a bell shop [1870 census].
